Q: What types of programs does the Foundation support?
A: The areas of giving for the Foundation are Individuals with Special Needs, Military Families, Junior Golf and Pediatric Cancer. Special Needs can include, but is not limited to, persons facing physical, developmental, intellectual, emotional, and sensory disabilities.
Q: May we use Jordan’s name/likeness in promoting our organization?
A: Only once a grant is approved may an organization use the Foundation name/logo, and must receive approval in writing to do so.
Q: Is Jordan available to attend an event or serve as Honorary Chair?
A: Due to an unpredictable travel schedule, unfortunately the Foundation is not taking requests for charitable appearances by Jordan Spieth at this time.
Q: Are there geographic constraints to grant requests?
A: There are no geographic limitations; the Foundation considers grant opportunities in all areas, with great consideration given to those in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Q: When are grant applications due?
A: The grant application window is typically open in early June, please follow the Foundation on Instagram @JordanSpiethFamFoundation to monitor exact dates. Applications typically are reviewed in Q4, but the JSFF cannot guarantee a response by a certain date. All applications must be submitted electronically via the grant portal provided once application(s) are open; those received by email / mail / other will unfortunately not officially be included in the review pool.
Q: Are there programs that the Foundation does not support?
A: The Foundation typically does not make grants to underwrite sponsorship opportunities of fundraising events.
Q: May we request an in-person meeting or tour regarding potential grant requests?
A: Due to time constraints and the volume of applications that the Foundation receives, the need for an in-person meeting and/or tours is determined by Grant Review committee. The process begins by reviewing an application, and a Foundation representative will follow-up with the contact listed if it is determined that additional information or a meeting is needed for consideration.
Q: May an organization submit a new grant request after another has been either approved or denied?
A: The Foundation does not fund multiple grants to the same organization in the same calendar year. There is no guarantee that an annual project will receive funding from year-to-year. New grant requests from an organization that has received a multi-year grant from the Foundation will not be considered until the grant term is complete.
