Jordan Spieth enjoyed an easy stroll through a blustery second round of WGC-Dell Match Play.
The world’s top-ranked golfer won his second straight match, clinching on the 14th hole, after his approach shot flew roughly 200 yards and rolled to within four feet of the hole.
Victor Dubuisson, Spieth’s opponent, couldn’t keep up. He conceded Spieth’s birdie, giving the former Longhorn the victory.
I’m really starting to see the that hard work that we’ve been putting in.
Spieth liked his round, which included three birdies.
“It’s nice, especially with the ball striking and the wedges,” Spieth said. “I’m really starting to see the that hard work that we’ve been putting in.
My ball controll is there, especially in this wind. It’s nice to be able to hold posture, hold my alignment amd not get too far off. It’s all about the putter now. That’s what still needs more work.”
