Jordan Commits to Travelers Championship

Jordan Spieth, a two-time major champion currently No. 6 in the Official World Golf Ranking, will make his first appearance at the 2017 Travelers Championship tournament.

The event at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell runs from June 19 to 25, and has also garnered commitments from top golfers like No. 2-ranked Rory McIlroy and No. 3-ranked Jason Day. Also playing are Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk and Russell Knox, the 2016 Travelers Championship winner.

Spieth, a 23-year-old from Dallas, a nine-time winner on the PGA TOUR, won five times in 2015, including the season's first two majors, at the Masters and the U.S. Open. He also won the U.S. Junior Amateur twice (in 2009 and 2011) before turning pro in 2012.
