Jordan Spieth Continues His Climb on PGA Tour

USA Today — When The Barclays was last played at Liberty National Golf Course in 2009, Jordan Spieth was winning the first of his two U.S. Junior Amateur titles 30 miles away at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.

Now he could be on this year's Presidents Cup team.

And win the FedExCup.

Spieth's meteoric rise from amateur wonder to collegiate star to a threat to win any given week on the PGA Tour is remarkable — and the majority of it happened when he was a teenager. Starting the year with no status, he earned a two-year exemption with his playoff win in the John Deere Classic. Then, after turning 20 on July 27, he nearly claimed his second Tour title, losing in a playoff last week at the Wyndham Championship.

Though he says he hasn't bought anything yet with his vast take — $2.6 million this year — he does have to figure out how to get a tractor he won in the John Deere Classic shipped to his home in Texas.
