On Thursday morning, a long-time vision of The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation, and so many others, became a reality.
A three-time major winner and FedExCup Champion, Spieth was on-site for the grand-opening of Flag Pole Hill Park Playground in Dallas. This state-of-the-art, all-inclusive play space – unlike any other in Dallas – encourages social interaction as well as physical and cognitive development of children of all ages and abilities.
As part of a collaborative effort between the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation, City of Dallas and Dallas Parks Department, KOMPAN Playgrounds and many others, Spieth and Dallas City Councilmember B. Adam McGough participated in Thursday’s ribbon-cutting to officially mark the playground’s opening. They were joined by plenty of children – excited, of course, to test out their new play space. Spieth is excited to use this public / private partnership in his backyard as a model for engaging community groups to provide more inclusive public areas.
