Tour players Andrew Magee, Scott Verplank and Brian Watts, former Brookhaven Country Club juniors, have added Jordan Spieth to their charity event on Oct. 7. Spieth, 19, spent many of his formative years at Brookhaven, as did the others.
Magee, Verplank and Watts have raised more than $500,000, helping establish the Family Health Center, a dental care clinic for seniors, uninsured children and their families in Farmers Branch. Last year’s event netted $65,000.
Spieth, in his first season as a pro, has earned special temporary membership on the PGA Tour in five starts. More information is available at fhcgolfevent.org.
