"We are very excited to share that the 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation is awarding 59 collegiate scholarships for the 2018 – 2019 academic year! We are honored to support these remarkable, intelligent, brave young adults who will be attending more than 40 schools in 27 states,” said Carol Basso, founder 1 Million 4 Anna.
The continued growth of their scholarship program from year to year has been possible with extra assistance from foundations, grants, and families, with a new major partner in the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation. “We are thrilled to welcome our newest partner, the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation, whose four-year transformational grant anchors our program for the coming years providing opportunities for dozens of deserving young people. It was a personal connection to Anna and her family that introduced the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation to this organization, and it was the optimistic impact of a future-facing scholarship that interested the group most.
“It is such an honor to support the great work that 1 Million 4 Anna is doing through their scholarship program,” said Annie Verret. “The Foundation was impressed to learn how this group not only partners with young people financially, but also works hard to connect them to a larger support system. The long-term gift is very exciting, as JSFF looks forward to celebrating the promising future of these brave survivors, both into college and beyond.”
1 Million 4 Anna Foundation’s College Scholarship program was founded in May 2012. It supports and honors young adults who fought Ewing sarcoma. The program has seen unprecedented growth in the last four years and has awarded nearly 200 scholarships totaling nearly $500,000.
